My Point Of View

My Point Of View

I see the world through a chain linked fence
Where once was beauty, but now is dense

Though thinly made and standing tall
It might as well be a solid wall

The birds sweet song, no longer rings
Nor does that of many things

And there’s no one man that can break that steel
No matter how that man may feel

We box it off, and count it straight
Intake dorm counts 138

And in the night you hear men weep
Thinking of their loved ones they left in the streets
