I’ve found that there’s something interesting about everyone—even if that person doesn’t find themselves interesting. Hello, my name is Tony Smith. My friends call me “Tone” or “T-Smith”. I’m from Columbus, Ohio. I’m 52 years old; however, people tell me I look like I’m in my late 30s or early 40s. I’ve been incarcerated for 28 years. I’m not looking for romance. My goal is to communicate with people who have something to say—even if you just want someone to listen to you. I’m a good listener and easy to get along with.
My time in prison has been spent getting educated. I have two associate degrees, completed seminary, and was ordained a minister earlier this year. I’m a Stephen minister and love serving others and mentoring.
My life took a drastic turn for the better when I forgave my father (R.I.P.) for physical abuse. I also forgave myself and, most importantly, accepted God’s forgiveness for past transgressions and wrongs.
I focus on the positive things in others. My time is spent working in the chapel for the chaplain, working out, attending church services, and furthering my education.
