My name is Tony Hunter. I have been incarcerated for more than 25 years and I’m currently serving a life sentence for a triple homicide that I did not commit.
Most people see a prison sentence and keep scrolling. Very few stop long enough to see the person behind it. I know being in prison will take someone with a beautiful heart to write someone in my position. I hope that someone is you.
I am a father of five, a man of faith who believes in kindness, loyalty, and meaningful human connection. Despite the challenges I’ve faced, I choose hope, perseverance, personal growth, and making the best of every day regardless of circumstances and gratitude for every blessing that comes my way.
My conviction was based solely on testimony from 3-jailhouse informants. I was wrongfully convicted because important facts and hidden evidence were never presented to the jury.
