Hello! My name is Earl. I’ve been incarcerated for 32 years for a crime I never committed. I know there have been many who made that claim, and I could never speak for their situation, but in my case it’s true. I was convicted by an all white jury on the testimony of a jail house snitch who was facing decades behind bars for his crimes. There was no evidence whatsoever besides his testimony. I willingly turned myself in to the Cincinnati Police Department upon returning from California filming the movie “Tango and Cash”. My parole officer stated that this so-called witness didn’t even know who I was when she questioned him as he described someone else.
During my trail the judge ordered a gag order that wasn’t followed by prosecution. Also, the prosecutors violated my civil rights during the jury selection process. My judge called them on it and the prosecutor’s office went to the District Court Appeals during my trial…something totally unheard of to get the jury they wanted. All documented facts that can be verified. Because there was no DNA evidence organizations like the Innocence Project won’t take my case. As a result, having exhausted my appeals I might… will die in prison… an innocent man. Looking any for support.
