Hey world! What’s good? My name is Shawn Shugart from Texas. I have a little less than two years to go. I thought I’d get on this PrisonFriendship website to get my mind out of this prison atmosphere. It can get a bit dull and lonely in here at times. As humans we all want to feel a sense of connection with others, to feel thought of and cared for. This temporary place does NOT define me as a man. I’m much more than THIS.
I know everything happens for a reason. I’m grateful for all the twists and turns in my life, as painful as they’ve been. I’ve had to start over so many times in my life, but I’ve always continued to look at the bright side of things. I am in search of a meaningful and lasting friendship (maybe more) to share life’s ups and downs, with a sweet, caring, down-to-earth, liberating female.
I do enjoy reading, writing, drawing, working out, listening to music and talking on the phone. :-)) I’m originally from Fort Worth, Texas. You can go to my Facebook to see more pictures of me. I have an interesting background. Some sad, some tragic, but also a lot filled with adventure. We all go through ups & downs, it’s all a part of life. God puts us in certain positions for a reason, to learn and grow from. I’m still a work in progress, but then again aren’t we all?

Here in TDCJ, the Texas Prison System, they just recently gave all us inmates a tablet to talk on and to email back & forth. It’s all through the company “Securus”. You can also send me pictures to my Securus tablet once you set up your Securus account.
