A little about myself: 1. Im Loving, Hopeful, Encouraging, Inspirational, Humbled, Valuable, Needed. 2. What’s one significant thing you’ve learned since being in prison? That I have a purpose, and that purpose is to let others know they matter. Isn’t it ironic? I was placed in an environment where the message to us everyday is that we’re criminals, mess-ups, worthless garbage, societal rejects, and good for nothing, yet I help many see their value and understand they matter. What man calls trash, God calls treasure. Once people truly see themselves (from God’s perspective) and assume their true identity, everything about them changes. Sometimes they just have to know they have a purpose in order to be that purpose. And my purpose is to make sure they know it. 3. What do you value most in life? Freedom. Without freedom I am just a cloud in the distant sky passing by providing no rain to the earth. Without freedom everything I am and everything I could be is stalled. My daughter said to me once that I’m like that large stuffed animal you win at the fair… it breaks her heart she can’t take me home. Freedom would allow me to be there. Freedom would allow me to be so much more. It is the doorway to ‘becoming.’ 4. What else do you want people to know about you? I’m a human being too. Look to my humanity to determine who I am. Don’t allow my past or my present location to rob me of my true identity.
